	American Support for Afghanistan (ASA) is a non-sectarian, non-governmental and strictly apolitical non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and continuing development of Afghanistan. NEWS August 2007: American Support for Afghanistan began collaborating with Khorasan Orphanage to help care for children in Afghanistan. Khorasan is a small charity in Kabul that cares for children in Afghanistan... January 2007: In a joint effort with Wheelchair Foundation, American Support for Afghanistan donated 560 wheelchairs to Afghanistan...

	OUR FOCUS  Healthcare Afghans rank among the worst in the world with a 70% malnutrition rate, and only 30-40% of the population able to receive basic healthcare. Education Afghanistan's educational system is in a state of virtual collapse, with statistics showing a gross enrollment in primary education at 38% for boys and 3% for girls. Housing The ravages of war devastated Afghanistan's infrastructure, breaking people away from their homes and from each other.
